Electrical Inspections, Unprofessional Installation of a Lighting Fixture

handyman wiring of a lighting fixture
This light fixture was installed with the wrong type of wire. In this exterior application, there should be conduit or proper exterior cable.  Many homes we inspect have handyman electrical wiring, especially in garages, attics, basements, crawl spaces and exterior lighting.

The hole in the soffit is oversized and is a possible point of entry for pests.

This was noted as a unprofessional electrical installation.
