Six Important Questions to Ask Before You Hire Any Inspector

1) Do you print reports at the time of inspection?  Are color pictures included?

We always deliver your computerized report to you before we leave.  Many inspectors make you wait to get your completed report.  We bring our mobile office, tools and laboratory equipment to every inspection.  This includes computer, high speed color printer, digital camera, mobile internet connection and structural pest identification lab equipment.  We are accomplished digital photography experts, quality pictures are worth 1000 words.

2) Do you publish reports on the internet?  When are they available?

We bring our WIFI equipped mobile office to every inspection and publish your report including a picture slide show within minutes.  (See a sample here)  You can share your personalized web report and photos with anyone right away,  No working with illegible copies or faxes. This makes negotiations a breeze and keeps your contingency timeline on schedule.  Don't loose a day or more waiting on your report.

3) How long will it take for a complete inspection?

Approximately 2 hours depending on the condition of the home and number of questions the client has.  We always have TWO certified and highly trained inspectors on every job for efficient & complete inspections.  We use the latest technology onsite (computers, WIFI, cameras, high speed printers, two way radios, precision tools, etc) to make our service complete and timely.  Some run longer, but of course we don't leave until all your questions are answered and your inspection is complete and printed.

4) What training do you have?

Suzanne and JJ are both graduates of the American Home Inspection Training Institute, and have passed the Washington Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Identification test.  Never hire anyone without proper certifications, WSDA Structural Pest License, bond and Errors and Omission Insurance!

5) What are your qualifications?

Besides our license and certifications, we take continuing education courses, and bring 35 years industry experience to every job.  JJ was a General Contractor with 25 years construction of fine homes and Suzanne has 10 years in Real Estate.  We have inspected over 1000 homes as a team and our experience and service is unmatched by our competition.

6) What is Included in the Inspection?

We wrote our reporting system, it surpasses the industry standards of the major national home inspection associations (ASHI, NACHI and NAHI).  We follow ASHI's Code of Ethics.  Our reporting system covers more then 400 items from the foundation to the roof.  We inspect and test all major home systems including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, heating and structural integrity. All complete inspections come with a Structural Pest Inspection at no charge if wood destroying pests or conducive conditions are found.

And of course never hire anyone that is not ASHI Certified!
